Deep Winter Yoga Nidra
Melt into dream space
Deep Winter is when nature unapologetically shuts it down… and yet most women are still trying to act like it’s July. This 3-part Deep Winter Yoga Nidra series (Feb 4, 11, 18) is your sanctioned permission slip to stop pushing and start listening.
What this series is
Across three Wednesday evening sessions leading up to/around Lunar New Year on Feb 17, you’ll be guided into deep, effortless rest designed to:
Soothe an overworked nervous system so your body can repair instead of just “cope”
Open up space for real dreaming again – the kind that gives you direction, not just more to-do’s
Help you mark Lunar New Year as a genuine reset, not just a recycled resolution in different packaging
Each session builds on the last, moving from deep restoration, to dreaming and imagining, to gentle, grounded intention-setting for the new lunar cycle.
Why dreaming matters (and not just at night)
By midlife, most women are excellent at managing life and terrible at imagining something more. Dreaming is not fluff; it is how the brain rehearses possibilities, consolidates emotional material, and updates your inner “map” of what’s possible. When you never drop into deep rest, your system spends all its energy firefighting today instead of visioning tomorrow.
This series gives you:
Guided journeys that help you reconnect with desire, possibility, and inner knowing
Space to process what’s been heavy so you can imagine what’s next
A gentle structure so you’re not just “thinking about it,” you’re actually doing it
Lunar New Year as a true reset
January 1st is loud, rushed, and externally driven. Lunar New Year arrives later, quieter, and aligns more with the natural energetic upswing after the deepest part of winter. Using these three weeks to intentionally downshift, dream, and then plant new intentions allows you to:
Start the new year from regulation, not burnout
Choose goals that are actually rooted in your values and nervous system capacity
Feel like you’re moving with the season instead of fighting it
By the time Lunar New Year arrives, you’re not scrambling to “fix yourself”; you’re honouring a transition you’ve actually prepared for.
Rest as a power tool (not a treat)
Yoga Nidra is often called “yogic sleep” – a state where the body deeply rests while awareness stays gently online. It’s like sending your system to a high-end repair shop instead of trying to fix the engine while driving on the highway.
For your midlife brain and body, that means:
Better recovery from training and everyday stress
Improved focus, creativity, and emotional regulation
More sustainable productivity because you’re working from a charged battery, not fumes
This series is not about becoming “less ambitious”; it’s about making your ambition sustainable.
Who this is for (and why now)
This is for you if:
You feel tired but wired, and “relaxing” mostly looks like scrolling
You know something in your life is ready to shift, but you can’t quite hear what it is
You’re craving a ritual to mark this deep winter season with intention, not just endurance
Three Wednesdays. 30-45min. One season. A chance to actually rest, reconnect with your dreams, and step into the Lunar New Year with something better than willpower: alignment.
If you want your next chapter to be bolder, wiser, and more you, this is where you lie down and let that future self finally get a word in.
